Born in Mexico City and now living in Coacalco, she is a teacher by vocation and a graphic designer by training. A mother for ten years and counting, she is also drawn to hands-on creativity, from cutting, painting and sewing to exploring new tools and making things by hand. Her relationship with poetry began in solitude. Experiences of motherhood, distance, love, and her mother’s battle with cancer shaped the places from which she writes. Today, she describes herself as happily in love with words, using poetry to write from what she knows, lives, observes, loves and cries about. She was the runner-up of the National Slam MX and has represented Slamin for two consecutive years. Her personality is as colourful as her wardrobe, with a love for glitter, sweet food, coffee, chilaquiles, dancing and soccer, knee permitting. Through poetry, she continues to transform everyday experiences into stories, emotions and words that connect.
