D’Nsi AMEDEGNATO is a Togolese slam poet born in 1998 in Lomé. A graduate in mechanical engineering and maritime safety and security, he nevertheless chose the path of art, inspired by his father, Atavi-G AMEDEGNATO, a director and storyteller. He discovered slam poetry in 2012 and has dedicated himself to it fully since 2020. A member of the Zigas Company, he learned dance, percussion, and theater there. His art blends words, rhythm, and emotion, between tradition and modernity. He co-founded the Bahati collective, known for its Vers’Dict slam poetry event in Lomé. D’Nsi writes and directs several shows combining poetry, humor, and introspection. His works explore themes of love, identity, youth, and social masks. His writing, both tender and sharp, resonates like a quest for truth. He has been crowned national champion several times, most notably the national champion of the 2022 Calabash Challenge. Blending slam poetry, storytelling, and performance, D’Nsi embodies the voice of a lucid and vibrant generation.
