Jibril Iddrisu, stage named Soyo Vi Zibo, is a Ghanaian actor, radio presenter, teacher, spoken word artist and a poet, born and raised in Maamobi, a suburb of Accra, Ghana. He had his basic education at Kubatul Hadra Islamic Primary School and continued on to Barnes Memorial Institute for his Junior High School Education. His secondary education was at O’Reilly Senior High School which he completed in the year 2008 as a Business student. A passionate reader and a curious mind, he composes poems that cover the wide ranging landscapes of politics, love, the environment, domestic affairs and other human interest stories that need telling. He has performed at the National Theatre of Ghana, both as an actor and a poet with Ehalakasa, at the Creative Economy Week at the British Council as one of five poets, and at various other venues. He currently works with the Osu Library Fund (O.L.F), a Non Governmental Organisation, as a literacy facilitator at the Nima Maamobi Community Learning Centre at Kanda in Accra, Ghana and is currently the 2024 and 2025 Ehalakasa National Poetry Slam Champion.
