The Malawian poet and political scientist’s work explores how culture shapes identity and how language transforms meaning. She was a member of the University of Johannesburg Arts Academy throughout her undergraduate and honours studies, a role which contributed to her career. She has performed at Poetry Africa, the Standard Bank Malawi Independence Celebration, Lake of Stars in Nkhotakota and at the Zomba City Festival, among others. Her performances weave multicultural influences with an intimate, reflective style, creating work that speaks across languages and borders.
