The writer and performer, born in Cape Town, South Africa, uses poetry, song, physical theatre, storytelling and ritual to navigate epigenetic trauma and centre Indigenous Knowledge Systems in the creation of new Black imaginaries. Her short story, Blood and Ballot, appeared in The Year’s Best African Speculative Fiction Vol. 3. More recently, The Cost of Freedom was selected as the joint winner and curator’s choice for the Short.Sharp.Stories, POWER contest. She is currently pursuing a Creative Writing Master’s at Wits University, where she is also a 2025 Wits Writing Fellow.
