The South African creative professional is recognised for his work as a film and TV editor, sound designer, writer, and spoken word poet based in Johannesburg. He was the recipient of the Best Showcase and Perfect Poem at the 2016 Word N Sound Awards after previously being crowned as the Best Newcomer when his poem CD4 Count was also announced as the Perfect Poem at the 2014 awards. A leading voice in spoken word, his work explores Black masculinity, race, and mental health. Raised in the rural Eastern Cape, his poetry often draws from personal and collective experiences concerning culture, race, and societal issues.
