With interests spanning arts, culture, photography, the environment, and language teaching, Kole has worked as a production assistant and scriptwriter in television and radio in Nigeria and as a producer and director of documentaries on development and environmental issues. He helped facilitate a conference on alternative health practices and coordinated the Lagos Film Viewers’ Forum. He has published three poetry collections, and his book Diaspora & Imagined Nationality was published by Carolina Academic Press. He holds degrees from universities in Nigeria, the USA and the UK. His research interests include the participatory use of video, virtual ethnology and language learning.
