The editor of the annual literary anthology, English Alive, Kirsten, is currently completing her debut solo poetry anthology, due to be released in 2026 by Uhlanga Press. She holds an MA in Creative Writing from the University of the Western Cape and has been published nationally and internationally. Her main area of research is the lived experiences of people with disabilities and exploring them through creative methodologies. A member of the International Advisory Committee for the Disability and Inclusion Africa Network, she has been a guest speaker at several conferences, including the 8th International Symposium of Poetic Inquiry.
