Sanguilla Vabrie is a poet, actress, singer & songwriter living in Amsterdam. She was born in Suriname and writes in Dutch, English and Sranan Tongo. She is a poet at heart who likes to write about feeling and emotion but says that everything around her inspires her and this can be found in several of her lyrics. Her major source of inspiration is Michael Slory. She also has great admiration for the work of poets Maya Angelou, Louise Wondel, Celestine Raalte, Gerrit Barron, S. Sombra. She has performed on various stages in both the Netherlands and Suriname with her poetry, music, and theatre performance.
