Yastricia Santos is a multidisciplinary artist from Pernambuco, Brazil, working across spoken word poetry, performance and Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) interpretation. Her artistic practice is rooted in orality, memory and stage presence, creating powerful connections between word, emotion and lived experience. Winner of Slam BR 2025 and the Abya Yala Spoken Word Poetry Cup, Yastricia explores social and emotional realities through her work. As a Libras interpreter, she is also committed to expanding access to culture and strengthening connections between diverse audiences and artistic languages. She is an actress with Coletivo de Teatro Negro Macacada, where she plays the lead character Caliuga, using performance to challenge silences and celebrate plural identities and experiences.
