Poet Nicolau de Jesus, officially known as Nicolau António Albano, is a native of Quelimane, Zambézia, and is a Mozambican national. He is currently the national spoken word poetry champion and provincial coordinator of the “Poetry that Transforms Through Words” project in Zambézia, and is Mozambique’s international representative in the world spoken word poetry competition in Paris, France. He speaks English and is 28 years old.
