Lethu Nkwanyana is a Professional South African spoken-word artist, creative writing and performence practitioner, qualified thespian whose work explores philosophy, memory, faith, environmental awareness and social issues. He has represented South Africa at the World Slam Championships in Togo and performed at Poetry Africa as a National Slam Champion, he has also served as a judge for the National Slam Jam. His theatre work includes plays staged at the National School of the Arts, Joburg Theatre, City Varsity. Lethu is the founder of multiple performance platforms, including Let The Poet Slam and Let The Poet Speak, and has reached over 10,000 students through his school programmes. He has been invited to literary, poetry and theatre festivals across South Africa and has engaged young people in the United States through public-speaking mentorship and community initiatives. He currently facilitates a Literary Programme through the National Employment Facility for Creative Industries, in partnership with Music In Africa.
