Amee Slam, also known as “Ami,” is an Ivorian slam poet, lawyer, and multidisciplinary artist. A 13-time award winner, she was the very first recipient of the ECOWAS Prize for Best Slam Poet. A singer-songwriter with 18 songs to her credit, including a 14-track mixtape, she is President of the “Collectif Au Nom du Slam” association, a representative for the World Slam Championship, a representative for the African Slam Poetry Cup, a member of the board of the Ivorian Slam Poetry Federation, and a member of the International Artistic Committee of MASA. An IVLP 2024 alumna, she participated in 42 international festivals and performances across Africa, Europe, and America after a stay in the United States at the invitation of the U.S. Department of State. She is also an actress and presenter and was named one of Africa’s 100 Most Impactful Voices by ABCD Magazine.
