Lerato Masechaba Mashile is a 20 year old UJ student who was born and bred in Johannesburg. She is a Poet, Actress and an all around CREATIVE! As an individual studying towards a BA degree, she is also a proud member of the UJ Arts & Culture Academy. In the poet’s words of why she writes Poems? “I write what I like and don’t, to capture the joys of my life, and the potholes of my rage. To tell cameos of a wired butterfly who utters I love you in her poems though fails in her crimson bow. I write what I like and don’t, for YOU, O hear me, O world for I am not waving but drowning, I cry for an ear so I run to the letters to express my tattered pain, it keeps me sane.
