Yaw Osafo-Kantanka Kyeremateng, creatively crowned King Yaw, is a Ghanaian artist residing in the United States of America. He is an educator, writer, actor, spokenword artist & a recent graduate from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. Alongside his acting pursuits, King Yaw tours the world as a poet, a crowned 2025 World Poetry Champion. He’s shared the stage with prestigious artists like Nikki Giovanni, Lenny Williams, Faith Evans, Alyesha Wise, Yesika Salgado, Rudy Francisco, and many more. He has performed in 34 states in the U.S and has featured internationally in Mexico, China, United Kingdom, Nigeria and Ghana. On stage, Yaw becomes his stories, channels language through time and space to give the audience a cathartic experience.
