Toni Gennrich (PhD) is a member of the South African Poetry Project (ZAPP) and is collaboratively working on a book based on interviews with poets and an anthology of South African poetry for schools. She has taught in the School of Education at the University of the Witwatersrand and Media Studies at the Nelson Mandela University. Her research interests include multiliteracies, poetry, and teachers’ literate identities. She has published in academic journals and books. She participates as a facilitator and researcher in Global StoryBridges, an educational project digitally linking youth around the world. She will present at the forthcoming International Symposium on Poetic Inquiry in Auckland, New Zealand
