Jolene Raison is a children’s author, poet, and linguistics lecturer. She holds a master’s degree in linguistics and is studying toward a PhD in linguistics, languages, and literature. As a cognitive linguist, she is interested in exploring the way language, as an encultured phenomenon, shapes our thoughts and connects us on the most basic and most profound human levels.
