Busisiwe Mahlangu is the author of Surviving Loss. She was awarded the inaugural SA National Poetry Prize (New Contrast, 2020). Mahlangu was a writing fellow at JIAS (University of Johannesburg, 2022) and participated in the International Writing Program (University of Iowa, 2023). She publishes her work at busimahlangu.com.
