Professor Heidi van Rooyen is a Group Executive at the Human Sciences Research Council. Her research explores issues relating to sexual orientation, gender identity and race. Heidi has been writing poetry for more than a decade and is particularly excited about the use of poetry in research. She has read her work at several local poetry festivals and has been published in national and international texts.
