Popularly known as Rebel Soul-Jah is a KZN conscious poet, a writer, social activist and a Ntuzuma Poetry Session host. Born and raised in Durban (Ntuzuma G Township), Rebel Soul-Jah started writing poetry in 2011 and began performing two years later when he was still in high school. He has performed and headlined major events including Quote A Poet, Calligraphy, Durban Poetry Show, DUT Poetry Session Remedial Rhythm and Poetry Festival, Meditation from the gutter book launch, Time of The Writer’s Festival and was featured on Izinkondlo Ziyaphilisa’s podcast. Rebel Soul-Jah is well known for his writing that speaks directly about personal identity, black consciousness, inequality and his contribution in amplifying the KZN Poetry Scene.
