Farah Sayed Is a South African storyteller and spoke-word poet of Gujarati and Arab ancestry. She is a mother, gardener and student of the ancient arts. Farah is the founder of The Lemon Tree community-gardening project and the curator of Poetry People. Her body of work focuses on the ancient, the feminine and unearthing strategically hidden narratives we as a society use due to shame the feminine and/or other coping mechanisms. Her work investigates the relationship we cultivate through seed, birth and poetry and how it contributes to our identity-belonging.
