My legal name is Oumoukelthoum Gueye, but I am better known by my stage name, “Oumeyma.” I am an emerging figure in the Mauritanian slam poetry scene, combining my role as an administrative assistant with a deep commitment to social development and artistic expression. As a former community mobilizer (Mobcomm) with AGD/IOM, I have always been driven by the desire to contribute to the well-being of my community. Subsequently, I participated in a study on child migrant labor in Mauritania in 2023, and in 2024/2025, I facilitated training workshops for the socio-professional reintegration of young girls and boys who had dropped out of school in my community.
