Olive Olusegun is a Nigerian, Kenyan-born multidisciplinary practitioner and poetry performer based in South Africa. Her work explores African history and politics, amplifies women’s stories, and raises awareness around human rights. She holds a master’s degree with distinction in Architecture and is an assistant lecturer at the University of Pretoria. Her work spans architectural research on Afro-modern cities, animation, visual art, and poetry, presented locally and internationally, including in the UK and Canada. Olive has performed at Poetry Africa for four consecutive years, won the 2024 national poetry slam, and placed 10th globally in poetry writing and performance in 2025.
