Santiago Riquelme, actor and cultural manager, is a pioneer of Poetry Slam in Chile. Co-founder of Poetry Slam Chile and founder of Mapocho Poetry Slam, he has been key to the internationalization of the discipline. He organized the first national gatherings, leading the country to compete in the Copa América (Rio, 2021) and the World Slam (Brussels, 2022), achieving 5th place worldwide in 2025. He was a Slam Master in Rio (2022) and Ciudad Juárez (2024). He currently coordinates Abya Yala Poetry Slam. He is a co-founder of Poesía Sónica, his work appears in various anthologies, and he has participated in prominent national festivals.
