The Soweto-born poet was drawn to poetry while studying. When he discovered his love and affinity for poetry, he challenged himself to write poetry and participate in poetry slams. He placed second in the TEWOP One on One SLAM twice, won the Recite Your Own Poetry competition and was the winner of the Soweto Theatre’s 2K CHALLENGE. After appearing on the World of Words stage, he was part of the Current State of Poetry and selected by Music X Words to travel to Poland for the Globaltica Festival. He was placed second at the World Poetry Slam Championship and crowned Poet of the Year by WordNSound.
