Blessing Gumbu is a Neuroscience and Physiology Honours student at the Neuroscience Institute (UCT) and the 2025 Siyaphumelela Representative for UCT. A UCT alumnus, passionate about education, equity, and science communication, he runs a YouTube channel, BSc Chronicles, co-leads podcast projects, and has been running a fundraising campaign for the Red Cross Children’s Hospital Trust since 2023. He received the 2024 DSA Student Leadership Award and was featured in the 2025 UCT Inspirational Graduate Series. Currently, he is the Honours Class Representative, leads the UCT SiT podcast project, part of the Honours SciComm Team. He aspires to be a neuroscientist and neurosurgeon.
