Sarah Godsell is a poet, historian, educator, and mother. She has been writing since she can remember and performing since 2009. She has performed on both local and global stages, from Poetry Africa (2020) to Poetas d’alma in Maputo, Mozambique (2019). She has published two collections, seaweed sky and liquid bones. She writes as a form of actively confronting the dark in the world, looking it in the face, and drawing light from it
