Kyle Allan is a South African writer, musician, researcher, and facilitator. He has published three books of poetry: House Without Walls, The Space Between Us and Remote Harbour. He is the editor of New Coin, the fifty-seven-year-old Rhodes University-affiliated journal of poetry. He is the founder and Executive Director of Heartnet (Health Empowerment and Response Networks), an organisation focused on community development and youth. He is affiliated as an IC lecturer and Research Associate at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Varsity College, a lecturer in English Studies at the University of KwaZulu-Natal and is currently a PhD candidate in English Studies.
