Ivandro Sigaval, born in Quelimane, in Zambézia, is a journalist, writer, poet, reciter, slammer, cultural manager, creative director, slam master, television presenter, and founder of Slam Transversal, the first poetry battle made on TV. He debuted his first literary work, Escritores de Palmo and Meio, at the age of eight. He was the winner of MOZ SLAM (Spoken Poetry Battle) in 2019 and won the Slam Tundavala in Angola. He has participated in several international poetry and literature forums, including Slam Realeza, Slam Lusófono, Slam Viral, Slam da Guilhermina, and MOZANGOLA Slam. He was acknowledged as the best poet in Mozambique in 2023.
