Mandi Vundla Is a Soweto/KZN poet, educator, slam-coach, co-editor of Home Is Where The Mic Is and Founder of the Poetry Zone ZA: a poetry development agency focused on creating new sustainability models to improve the quality of spoken word culture, increase its accessibility, consumption and viability. Having worked in the industry for over a decade, Vundla utilizes her accumulated experience to mentor young emerging poets through the Brave Spoken Youth project, she also serves as a poet-coach for the Poetry Africa Slam finals. Vundla Is a HUB@GOETHE Alumni and In 2022, was listed as MG200 Young leader. She recently released her spoken word poetry album titled A Love Song For Miriam Makeba, the work is deeply inspired by Mirima Makeba’s humanity, servitude and genuine love for Africa and her people.
