Kirsten Deane has a master’s degree from the University of the Western Cape. Her thesis explores the relationship between poetry and photography. She is currently a master’s Intern at the HSRC. Her work has been featured in numerous publications worldwide including, the Best New African Poets 2019, 2020, and 2022 anthologies. Kirsten has been a guest speaker at multiple conferences.
