Chalkboard Slam is a spoken word initiative developed for high school youth. Piloted in October 2024 with school youth from Durban, the Centre for Creative Arts intends to extend and develop the project as a national initiative. Each year, the top 10 scholars are selected to battle it out for the ultimate title of the Chalkboard Slam Champion.
