‘Sounds of the City’ is a pre-recorded experiment of two poets and an Imbongi Yomoya taking a public taxi to explore parts of Ethekwini while gracing the public with their spoken word. Undisclosed to the public, this interactive experience unfolds into a collaborative journey where the visual poetry of the city scapes, the poets’ reactive works, Imbongi’s impromptu emotional responses, the public’s movement and reactions, the taxi driver and his assistants’ calls all beautifully merge into a poetically theatrical experience of a kind.

The screening will be followed by a panel.
