SUZAN SKHOSANA is a self-taught and internationally award winning historian, storyteller, performance poet and musician who has devoted her life to indigenous music and vocal expression especially through Setswana poetry. She is a founding member of Raencho Arts Education Ensemble NPC, and Afrosue Education & Arts ensemble Pty (Ltd) Arts School Studio. In 2015, she was awarded recognition for her outstanding contribution to South African Art and Culture, powered by CSD Africa and MO’ Hope Publishing (Ghana). She has made numerous appearances on television and radio. Her performance repertoire includes poems written in the 19th century by MM Kgasi, and other Setswana poets. Her musical expression was profoundly influenced by her late uncle Levy Kgasi (1959 -2016) of African Jazz Pioneers. In 1994, she acquired a national diploma in public management administration through University of North West Technologies with a distinction in principles of information systems. She also holds a Skills and Training Certificate in customer relations, Certificate in communications, Certificate in management or leadership all three obtained through FNB Group Training & Education.
