MOSES SELETISHA is a multi-award-winning Sepedi writer and performance poet from Ga-Matlala, ‘a Rakgoadi in Limpopo Province but is currently a resident in Witbank, Mpumalanga. His area of interest is African languages and its social context. He has been performing on stages around South Africa, where he earned himself respect among his peers as a notable Sepedi author. He is the inaugural winner of the Sol Plaatje European Union Poetry Award in a language other than English and Afrikaans. His first book, Tšhutšhumakgala, which reflects on the life and political times of former Umkhonto we Sizwe combatant, Comrade Tlokwe Maserumule, won him a prestigious South African Literary Award as First-time Published Author. Many of his works have already been featured in more than 30 literary journals in South Africa and in the continent. He recently released a second title Ke Hwa Natšo – a short play about conviction and honouring one’s oath. This work was published through Bona Pono publishing.
