ATHOL WILLIAMS is a South African author of 14 books including 4 books of poetry. He is the recipient of 6 literary awards and is the only poet to have been awarded the Sol Plaatje European Union Poetry Award twice. Athol is a Research Fellow in the Centre for Applied Ethics at Stellenbosch University and holds degrees from Harvard, Oxford, LSE, MIT and London Business School. He is was born in Cape Town and after periods of living in Johannesburg, Boston, London and Oxford, he now lives in Cape Town again.
